If you've never made a beat, or dug through crates of records trying to find that perfect sample you may not fully get this. I think this video from Vinroc really captures the whole process and that perfect moment where it all comes together. There some thing really special about taking something old and putting your own new twist on it. So even if you never do make a beat in your life, watching this is the next best thing.

With the first three post this week being DJ related..I figured why stop there. I guess this will now be DJ week for Creative Inspire. So today and tomorrow will round it out and I'll move in a new direction for the weekend.

These youngstaz are killin' it! I've seen some kids up on the decks, including my own, but I've never seen a kid scratching at this level so young. Hell they're doing some scratches I can't even pull off and making me feel like I should go practice. Sarah Scratch is only 9 and Ryusei is all of 7 years old at the time this video was done.

Ahhh yea. Crazy routine from 2002 DMC World champion DJ Kentaro. This man is so musical with the cuts. A lot of turntableist get too focused on technical skill and leave the music behind. This is what a DJ should sound like!

If you don't like this one then you deserve a slap. Perhaps even a chop. But you do like it, you're going to be in a great mood all day.

This is a really clever remix from DJ Steve Porter. It's grabbed quite a bit of attention. It's Youtube views are in the millions and he was even featured on a segment on FOX about how internet videos can become profitable.
